.... The other day in the library, I was, as usual, looking for books by familiar authors and non-fictions about my current interests. Talking to other borrowers, I realised we were all doing the same thing. So I attacked the shelves with my eyes closed.
I have just finished Flying into Hell - stories of WWII Bomber Command, which I would NEVER have chosen, and it had me in tears at times. Currently tackling a paperback novel with lurid cover, which I think I will not manage to finish. Short stories by Alexander McCall Smith I would definitely have chosen, and the other two are British archaeology and the Dalai Lama (the Art of Happiness) . Do you know about the Library Angel? It makes you unwittingly choose books with connections to things in your life. Not quite sure where it fits in here.
